If anyone is administrative professional can you answer these questions.?

What are your roles and responsibilities?

What skills and qualities do you need in order to be successful?

What types of technology changes have occurred in the last 2 years?

Describe the diversity of personnell within your office?
If anyone is administrative professional can you answer these questions.?
I answer phones, take and log in packages, stamp mail, escort visitors (secure office). Create and enter on Excel spreadsheets, type business letters on Word, email clients and sales people with new and current information, order supplies. Plus anything else I'm asked to do or feel is necessary; I like to make the company coffee and turn on the necessary office machines.

Microsoft Excel, Word, Powerpoint, Access, and either Outlook or Lotus Notes (new company), answering multiple phone lines, friendly attitude, and a professional appearance and/or work process.

Phones have changed, programs have upgraded, security has become tighter.

They're people, some mirco manage, others let you set your own pace, still others have a ton of work (some valid/some not), and others give you assignments and say have fun with it.
If anyone is administrative professional can you answer these questions.?
My roles and responsibilities as an Administrative Assistant are plentiful. I fax, file, copy, answer e-mails, maintain office supplies, as well as any other tasks assigned to me by the Senior Admin %26amp; remainder of the office.

You will need typing skills, communication skills. You need to be able to cope with office politics... it's a MUST. Having to deal with many different people and personalities, you will have to have patience as well.

As for the past 2 years technology, personally, I haven't seen much change for Admin Professionals. My company is going paper free, so there is more computer work and scanning of documents into a computer, but other then that, much has stayed the same.
I am the department head secretary.

I answer calls to the department, schedule meetings, prepare and follow up with all correspondence, expense reports, system support to faculty, maintain all faculty files with special attention to FOIP and record rules, assist with faculty annual assessments, hiring, payroll (just to list a few.)

Skills needed: punctuality, respect, organized, ability to multi task, pleasant manner, ability to validate concerns, problem solver...among others.

Tech changes....um none that have really affected me.

small office, all caucasian women, varying in age, 2 men.

Doing some research?
Are u interviewing???

I do everything in the office... in... out...

all skills related to customers and accounting.

Technology is ALWAYS changing.

The diversity is race not smarts based....
I am an Administrative Assistant. I am in charge of the office. I make sure the office is running smoothly. I answer telephones and answer questions. I draft reports and other documents. I research information regarding different aspects of the business. I submit reports to the appropriate party as well as do some invoicing. In order to be successful in the type of position I have, you need to be dependable, honest, hard-working, and of above-average intelligence with at least two years of post-high education. One must be proficient in all aspects of Microsoft Office Professional and be highly computer literate. In the past two years, I have noticed that almost all of the work that was handled via regular US mail is not being transmitted and received electronically. The company I work for is a large multi-state organization. However, in my location, I work with three registered nurses and one vocational rehabilitation specialist. I hope that this information is helpful to you.
