In what ways has technology influenced people's behavior?
A society does not allow anything into it's culture unless there is a need for it. Technology causes a problem called cultural lag (coined by Ogburn) which is meant that values, laws and norms are slower to catch up to the technology. for example cars ... cars were invented then the road rules came about. People I'm sure asked the same question about cars are they positive or negative? (both). All technology has good and bad but with out things such as computers and cell phones there probably wouldn't be other things such as vaccinations etc. Yes behaviors have changed because of technology but we as a society has give it the power to do so, we have not made talking loudly on a cell phone unacceptable as we have made walking around nude in public

we have become a texting,messaging, emailing bunch of communicators who do not take time to smell the roses anymore
Getting up from bed for daily work- going back to bed for rest- we use technology in one way or the other. Not only cell phones and computers have negative influence on our behaviour, but In fact I can say that by the name of giving comfort to human beings, technology has become the ruler on us, made us just a machine and changed us to poor physically handicaped ones.
