I think the BIGGEST has been indoor plumbing.
But as we all know, the internet is a series of tubes* and resembles plumbing remarkably. It has changed how information it exchanged, stored and gathered. I would call it remarkably positive.

And it's positive. It allows us a greater understanding of every aspect of the human experience.

I think it is. It gives us email, access to information, and all sorts of other wonderful things. It may or may not be the biggest but it is surely very important.
