Yes the science and technology has made a major impact not only on the lives of humans but the plants, animals, birds, environment i.e., nature as well.
Science and technology from the constructive point is a blessing in disguise when it is used for the benefit of mankind for example,
Great advances in the field of Medicine and Surgery. The diseases which could not be treated before and caused premature death are well and very safely managed now.
Travel from foot, to horses, camels, horse buggies, bicycles, motorized bikes, trains, buses, autos, boats to ships, aeroplanes, space shuttles etc. However, the fuel consumption and lack of clean fuel technology is creating a bad effect of green house gases and potential Global warming and messing the environment, plants and animals, the echo system etc. As there is no medicine without side effects the technology has side effects too.
Agriculture, plan for plenty, the new means to plow, irrigation, dams, canals, water and soil conservation, insecticides and there unfortunate injudicious use
Power and electricity, quest for clean and alternate fuel and all the side effects of various ways to generate mass energy on the echo system and potential disasters, including the nuclear power plants, the dams, the coal power plants poluting the environment etc.
Telecommunication, phones, wireless, cell phones, internet, television etc
Household apliances
So there are lots of fields, however the science and technology for peace and prosperity which does not effect the echo system and is Nature friendly is the best. On the other hand destructive purposes of technology in unwise and wrong hands is a challenge

Yes, of course it has. I suppose it depends on your age as to whether you know this or not. Some is for the better, some is not. If you really think about it you might work out the pros and cons for yourself.
