How has modern technology changed the military powers of the executive and legislative branches of government.

I am working on an essay for my AP Government class. We had to first pick 2 presidents in office between the years of 1960 and 2000 and choose 3 examples of why we feel that they were a great president. I have answered most of the question that were assigned for this essay but am having trouble answereing the above question. Any help can give me would be greatly appreciated.

Hasn't changed one bit.

The President only makes war with the approval of Congress. In the President's role as Commander in Chief he would act to protect the country and its interests in times of emergency.

This does not give him the authority to ignore the Constitution he takes an oath to defend and protect. Wiretaps still need the judicial branch.

Technology in terms of nukes, rockets and airplanes is the biggest change.
