How has technology changed the way people view and treat diseases over the centuries?

Please help me, this is for my homework i desperately need it!
How has technology changed the way people view and treat diseases over the centuries?
Technology has provided mankind with an in depth map of the human anatomy and physiology. We've seen every bone and blood vessel in detail.

There are not so many great mysteries anymore, and people are no longer afraid and out of touch with their bodies.
How has technology changed the way people view and treat diseases over the centuries?
from the perspective of ethics, technology in medicine is a right to anyone who needs it, as upheld by insurance, the gov't, and by natural right of being human. For this reason, it is thought that as the number of humans grows and the amount of technology to treat those humans grows, our rights are going to become impossible to uphold, because millions of people will be demanding extraordinarily expensive technology based treatments. So the view has changed from deserving to see a doctor, to deserving the best herbs and advice, to deserving the best monitors and medicines, and now to deserving the best medicines, surgeons, and technology, no matterr at what cost. As you can guess, it is unacheivable.
