Is using artificial reproductive technologies changing the genetic variation of our species?

One of the questions asked in biology today, and i wondered what people thought.
Is using artificial reproductive technologies changing the genetic variation of our species?
Sure it is. People who would be incapable of reproducing are able to pass their genes on to the next generation due to advances in reproductive medicine. Things like fertility drugs, in vitro fertilization, and the ability to help infants born with congenital problems means that genes that would not be able to be passed on 100 years ago are being passed on today.
